James Stanley is the Section Chief for Product Development at the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure
Security Agency (CISA), where he leads cybersecurity content creation based on unique data, analysis,
and findings. His team has led several innovative efforts, including writing the first Cybersecurity
Advisories (CSAs) on findings from on-site incident response and authoring one of the first public reports
based on the activities of CISA’s Red Team.
James has over a decade of experience in cybersecurity, including as a Network Analyst at CISA and a
Vulnerability Analyst at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute. He is a graduate of
John Carroll University, where he majored in Psychology, and has earned his master’s in Cyber Risk
Management at Mercyhurst University.
